We believe that amongst the most important factors affecting the well-being of ponies are the availability of turnout, plenty of good quality hay or haylage and an individual programme of feeding and fitness work based on the polo to be played and on the ponies' and the players' own characteristics and abilities.
The farrier visits every week and excellent vets, chiropractors and dentists are on call as necessary.
Transport can be provided by the specialist horse transport firm based on site, enabling an excellent service and value for money.
There are 80 stables at Druids with 180 acres of grazing for turnout and winter keep.
Most of the stables are old brick-built, wooden lined boxes in a traditional style. The newest stables are American barn style in a new building.
The stables are all close to the arena, stick and ball and polo grounds.
Other facilities include a horse walker, schooling arena and 200 metre canter track. There are also excellent hacking trails around the estate.
