Canonbury were victorious in a fast and furious final for the Midsummer Trophy. Robin Ormerod was first to score for Avanti but a hattrick of goals from Stevie McCraith in the second chukka had Canonbury in the lead 3 – 2 at half time. A strong second half for Canonbury saw them come home the winners with the score 8 – 3 at the final bell.
