Three teams were entered in the Remembrance Day Poppy Sunday Trophy and so the tournament took the form of a round-robin. Firstly Black Aces took on visiting team Tedworth Park, Black Aces establishing a strong lead in the first chukka which they held onto, to win 8 – 4. Tedworth Park then came up against Hind Quarters and despite some great goals from Lolly Stanhope-White they weren’t able to control Harold’s goal scoring spree, HQ taking the win 10-6. And so the last two chukkas became the final which was between Black Aces and Hind Quarters. This was a really exciting match with fast, end to end action, it looked like Black Aces might just sneak ahead in the closing minutes with a two pointer from Robin Ormerod but Hind Quarters slotted another couple between the posts and went home the winners 14-10.
