Low Profile’s 2022 season got off to a strong start with a win in the first tournament, the 2 goal Aspiga Trophy. Roddy Stanning was first to make his mark on the scoreboard but Canonbury fought back with a goal each from Stevie McCraith and Brook Bishop, putting them just ahead at half time. With some fast runs and some impressive marking and team play from Low Profile they edged back into the lead at the start of chukka 4, eventually running out the winners 5 – 3 at the final bell.
The subsidiary final was a close run affair with two early goals for Dragonfly scored by Andrew Wessels and the score still sitting at 3 all at the end of chukka 3. Avanti were first to score in chukka 4 but Eden Ormerod notched up a further 2 goals for Dragonfly in reply, the score at the final bell 5 – 4 in their favour.
