Xanthos took on Data-IS in this year’s Lismore Trophy, it was a close game with the teams seeming evenly matched. Data-IS were first out of the gates, scoring two goals in the first chukka and catching up with Xanthos’s handicap advantage. A fast second chukka saw Xanthos creep ahead again, the score 5-4 at half time.
Xanthos really found their feet in chukka three with a couple more goals and the benefit of a penalty 1 helping them to increase their lead, a late goal from Jon Perry of Data-IS in chukka four wasn’t enough and the score at the final bell was Xanthos 10, Data-IS 7.
